Birthday Floss Club

Since some years Italy, too, has been influenced by a nice American initiative, Birthday Floss Club, BFC for friends. How does it work and what is exactly a BFC?
It’s very simple, it’s a club which goes on for one year so that all the participants can benefit from enrolment, celebrating their birthday receiving something pretty related to our common passion: cross stitch. You enrol communicating your name, your address and your birth date so there is a list of names. Once the list is defined, it creates the Club and is sent to all participants. Once you get the list, all you have to do is to send for each person’s birthday a card with a little present, a skein or whatever related to embroidery. Participants have the chance to indicate their preferences for fabrics and patterns, so they can get what they prefer…isn’t it tempting? Not to mention that you can meet new people and have the chance of make new friends.

But where can you find BFC?

Definitely on some american websites, but for Italy I point out:

Before leaving you, let me close with a little free advise: when you decide to get involved in some new experience like a BFC or a Round Robin (if you do not know what it is, click here), rely upon skillful planners. The organisation of a BFC is a demanding task, so better rely upon a tested website than risk to be disappointed. Please also remember, before enrolling, that a BFC is not only receiving but is also a little commitment to honour with new friends!

Happy Birthday to all of you!!!!
